DROMEC Winches Develops Horizontal Spooling Machine for DIEPA Germany

DIEPA Germany specializes in the production of special steel cables for use in equipment requiring the highest levels of precision, durability, and safety. To facilitate the winding of these steel cables, DROMEC has designed a horizontal spooling machine – a truly unique piece of engineering!

Variable Windings

DIEPA produces and supplies special steel cables worldwide for a variety of projects. The cables vary greatly in diameter and length. With the horizontal spooling machine, both large and small coils can be wound efficiently.

Horizontal Spooling Machine

In recent years, DROMEC Winches has developed and built a range of spooling machines. However, this version stands out due to its horizontal position and the absence of a spool. Instead, the steel cables are wound around protruding pins on the structure. The machine can handle various cable sizes in four different thicknesses. Adjustable pins allow for easy switching between different configurations. This provides the customer with a multifunctional spooling machine that saves significant time and manpower.

Simple Operation

The electric spooling machine is installed at DIEPA and secured to the floor. If necessary, the structure can be moved with a forklift, but during operation, the spooling machine remains in a fixed location. Operation is straightforward using a control cabinet. With various buttons, the speed, power, and winding direction of the machine can be easily adjusted. The operator starts and stops the winding process using a foot pedal. This makes it simple to wind each cable with the desired settings.
